The original issue, as identified earlier today, which caused this incident has been fixed and that system has been confirmed as stable. This issue centred around the signalling links to the IP core and an equipment change was necessary.
Due to the length and complexity of the outage, the network is now in recovery mode. This means that engineers are carefully recovering the links to bring up traffic in a stable manner. They need to do this to manage congestion and avoid serious signalling storms.
