I would like to formerly apologize to you regarding the ongoing disruption to the ROPDT mobile connectivity service we provide to you. Unfortunately the service is currently suspended due to contractual issues beyond our control. This service is provided to you from our mobile core infrastructure from one of our longstanding wholesale network providers. They have a contractual issue with Telecom Italia (TIM) that provides the underlying connectivity service and roaming with public mobile network operators.
There was no prior warning or notification that this disruption to services would happen, and without such notice, we have been unable to take action to migrate services to one of our alternative network providers. In this situation, unless the SIMs are able to be registered to a mobile network, we are unable to perform an Over-The-Air (OTA) update to change the SIM identity to an alternative solution.
Although the service is currently suspended for an indefinite period, we have completed initial discussions with TIM to restore our existing services (and therefore currently installed SIM cards) to a new direct connectivity agreement with G+D. TIM fully understands the severity and urgency of this situation for impact to ours and our customer’s operations. We are currently awaiting TIM’s internal approval to proceed and we expect a decision and updated plan of action by COP Monday 22nd September 2025.
